Reply:Mexico goes to great lengths to see that those Americans are in that country legally and I would bet that the VAST majority are.
Reply:I don't know how many there are, but they are legally there, of course. They can never hold any public office, if they are allowed to work (most aren't - they are retired and brought money) they can only work if they speak fluent Spanish, by law.

Personally, I would LOVE to have the Mexican immigration laws in place within the United States and totally enforced. It is the ONE THING that I think that the Mexican government has done right!
